How robust is rfigshare to manage data versioning and metadata through R in figshare?

Hi everyone,

I am thinking about trying out Figshare for managing public data and metadata with versioning for one of our projects. Please give me your opinion on rfigshare if you have used it.

Hi Thanks for your question.

The rfigshare package (GitHub - ropensci/rfigshare: Programmatic interface for Figshare) is essentially unmaintained. I’m surprised it’s still on CRAN. Maybe @cboettig has comments since he is listed as the maintainer?
