The Gists category is a place to show example usage of rOpenSci packages.
Why not GitHub gists? Those are great, but notifications don’t really work, so you have no clue if someone commented on your gist. In addition, you can’t mention people in Gists, but you can here. Furthermore, it’s nice and tidy to collect all examples dealing with rOpenSci software in one place, where they’re easy to find and search.
Tags
I propose that when you post a gist here, use tags to indicate topics, but also tag each rOpenSci package used in the example. That will make it easy for folks to quickly find examples of usage of specific packages.
Any questions/thoughts?
