We have a package in development called fulltext
https://github.com/ropensci/fulltext/ Our first version landed on CRAN back in August, and we have a 2nd version tentatively planned for sometime next month.
The package aims to be a one stop shop to get metadata and full text content for scholarly articles.
We’d love to get this package into more people’s hands. If you think this could be of use, give it a try. Let us know:
- What breaks
- What could be better
- New use cases that aren’t currently covered
- Specific sources (journals) that you can’t access via
fulltext
yet
