::Applause:: I think this is a great piece of community scaffolding. I was thinking today about the difference between science communication and science journalists, and how we rely on a variety of different roles when we work together, especially for community outcomes. I’ve often felt weird about recognition as a co-author on an article for an organisational website, when my major contribution was either original ideas, or editing, and someone else responsible for the actual writing. I hope this makes it easier for a greater number of volunteers to contribute to rOpenSci! Which is already great!!
