Thank you for this move! I make use of both mastodon and the RSS feed to keep up with what rOpenSci is doing.

One note: to log into discuss.ropensci, two options are GitHub and Twitter. Just flagging this in case lack of moderation on Twitter makes the Twitter-based authentication problematic at some point (though of course there’s a tradeoff of losing constructive forum participants who do use the existing Twitter authentication).
